A Close Call
Mother Nature kept us on our toes leading up to Audrey and Daniel’s wedding on Friday, July 12, 2024. With a forecast predicting rain, the rehearsal on Thursday night had us preparing for a possible rain plan. Despite the uncertainty, Keswick’s Aurora tent provided a stunning backup, seamlessly transitioning into a cocktail hour setting.
Determined to have their ceremony outdoors, even if it meant a light mist, Audrey and Daniel kept both options open until the last moment. Thankfully, the rain held off, allowing the couple to have their dream outdoor wedding
Audrey and Daniel chose a new and beautiful ceremony location at Keswick Vineyards. Instead of facing the vineyard, they opted to face the estate, with its elegant fountain creating a picturesque backdrop. The stunning scenery added a touch of grandeur to their vows.
Their ceremony included a unique and touching moment when the officiant had Audrey and Daniel embrace as they pledged their love to each other. Their beloved dog, Otis, stood by their side, looking dapper in his tuxedo, adding a charming and personal touch to the ceremony.
Audrey’s attention to detail shone through with the floral arrangements. Each bridesmaid’s bouquet matched the color of her dress, creating a vibrant and cohesive look. The groomsmen’s boutonnieres complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses, tying the wedding party’s attire together beautifully.
The reception was a feast for the senses. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, savoring a variety of culinary delights. The wedding cake was not only a visual masterpiece but also one of the best we’ve tasted in a while – a perfect blend of flavor and beauty.
Audrey and Daniel’s wedding at Keswick Vineyards was a testament to love, determination, and impeccable style. Despite the weather uncertainties, their day turned out perfect, filled with memorable moments and surrounded by loved ones. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for the lovely couple!

Karly & JR’s Vibrant Wedding at Keswick Vineyards
On the hot Saturday of July 6, 2024, Karly and JR celebrated their love at the stunning Keswick Vineyards. Despite the heat, the couple ensured their guests stayed refreshed with personalized bottles of water available in buckets as they arrived. Thoughtful touches like these set the tone for a memorable day.
To combat the high temperatures, Karly and JR wisely chose the venue’s “shade” location for their ceremony. The majestic sugar maple tree provided ample shade for guests while still allowing the couple to exchange vows with the iconic water fountain as their backdrop. This thoughtful choice made the ceremony comfortable and picturesque.
A unique element of their ceremony was the steel arch placed at the entrance of the aisle, creating a striking entrance for Karly as she walked down the aisle. This setup differed from the traditional placement at the altar and added a special touch to their ceremony.
Adding to the joy of the day was the presence of “B,” or Beatrice, their adorable rescue Shih Tzu. As a fellow parent of a rescue Shih Tzu, I couldn’t help but love this personal touch. B’s inclusion in the ceremony was a heartwarming sight, and she was a hit among the guests.
One unique aspect of Karly and JR’s wedding was their approach to a Catholic marriage. The day before, they had an intimate ceremony inside a Catholic church with just a few witnesses. The next day, they invited the church Deacon to Keswick Vineyards to perform a vow renewal. This creative solution allowed them to honor their faith while celebrating with a larger group of loved ones.
Karly and JR’s wedding was all about simplicity and enjoyment. The couple's first dance was a perfect representation of their fun-loving nature, with smiles and laughter evident throughout. It was clear that their main focus was on celebrating their love and having a great time with family and friends.
The reception featured a generous buffet that delighted everyone’s taste buds. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, including pulled pork, sliced chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, salad, and homemade bread. The spread was a hit and added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
As the day drew to a close, Mother Nature provided a breathtaking sunset, painting the sky in vibrant hues. It was a perfect end to a perfect day, leaving everyone in awe of the natural beauty surrounding them.
Karly and JR’s wedding was a beautiful blend of thoughtful details, heartfelt moments, and joyful celebrations. Their love for each other and their loved ones was evident in every aspect of the day, making it an unforgettable experience for all who attended.

The celebration continued with a delightful buffet dinner, expertly catered with a rich array of Afghan dishes. The flavors were as diverse and vibrant as the couple themselves, offering guests a taste of Suhaib's cultural heritage. The culinary journey didn't stop there; as the evening progressed, a dumpling food truck made its appearance, adding another layer of culinary delight to the festivities.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the incorporation of traditional dances. Professional dancers, adorned in colorful and traditional attire, performed captivating routines that left everyone in awe. This lively display of cultural pride and heritage brought an extra layer of excitement and joy to the celebration, reminding everyone of the beauty of diversity and unity.
To beat the summer heat, an ice cream truck arrived during the cocktail hour, much to the delight of the guests. This refreshing treat was a hit, providing a fun and tasty way to cool off and enjoy the sunny weather.
Rosie, with her hair pulled back in a long ponytail, bore a striking resemblance to pop sensation Ariana Grande. She looked stunning and radiant, perfectly complemented by her dashing groom, Suhaib. Together, they made a striking couple, their love and happiness evident to all who attended.
Despite the differences in language and cultural backgrounds, the wedding was a harmonious blend of traditions and celebrations. Guests mingled, danced, and enjoyed each other's company, united by the love and joy shared by Rosie and Suhaib. This multicultural wedding was a beautiful testament to the power of love to bridge cultural divides and bring people together.

A Dream Wedding at Keswick Vineyards: Victoria and Christian's Celebration
On a hot and humid Saturday, June 29, 2024, Victoria and Christian celebrated their love at the picturesque Keswick Vineyards, one of Charlottesville's premier wedding venues. Despite the heat, the day was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
As guests arrived on the property, they were greeted with a bar, setting the tone for a festive and relaxed atmosphere. The ceremony took place with a breathtaking backdrop of the Southwest Mountains and the lush vineyard, creating a serene and romantic setting. A unique sculptor of baby's breath adorned their altar, adding a touch of elegance to the ceremony. To ensure guests' comfort, parasols were provided, offering shade from the summer sun.
The cocktail hour was a highlight, featuring a large circular bar as the focal point. Swagged bistro lights hung above, creating a warm and inviting ambiance under the shadow of a magnificent 300+ year old oak tree. This spot quickly became a favorite among guests, both during the day and into the night.
For the seating assignments, a stunning wooden wall display was crafted, adorned with bud vases filled with fresh florals. This creative touch added a personalized and stylish element to the decor. Instead of a traditional guest book, Victoria and Christian chose a unique and interactive option: a vintage phone for guests to call and leave heartfelt messages. This charming detail added a nostalgic and fun twist to the celebration.
To keep younger guests entertained, custom cornhole boards were set up, providing endless entertainment throughout the evening. The tent decor was kept simple yet sophisticated, with table numbers displayed on pieces of granite and bud vases as centerpieces.
As the evening progressed and the temperature remained high, a delightful treat awaited the guests—ice cream! This refreshing surprise was a perfect way to keep everyone cool and satisfied on the hot summer night.
Victoria and Christian's wedding at Keswick Vineyards was a perfect blend of elegance, fun, and thoughtful details. From the stunning ceremony backdrop to the interactive guest book and refreshing ice cream, every aspect of the day was designed to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for all who attended. Cheers to the happy couple and their beautiful beginning together!
