How Sweet It Is
Abbey & Josh's wedding at Keswick Vineyards on August 23, 2024, was a truly elegant affair, filled with timeless charm. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—cooler than expected for an August day in Virginia. To keep guests comfortable, the couple chose one of Keswick's shade locations for the ceremony, where the iconic fountain and stunning mountain views served as a picturesque backdrop. A beautiful floral arch framed the aisle's entrance, adding a touch of romance to the setting, while musicians provided live music for both the ceremony and cocktail hour.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed with glasses of champagne and Crumble cookies, setting a delightful tone for the day. The black dresses and tuxedos worn by the wedding party added a classic, sophisticated vibe, and Abbey & Josh’s choice of a white vintage car for photos in front of the stately Edgewood Estate added to the timeless aesthetic of their celebration.
One thoughtful detail that stood out was how the couple identified guests’ meal preferences for the plated dinner. Instead of traditional stickers on place cards, Abbey had each guest's name printed and placed on their plate. The color of the name indicated whether they were receiving fish, beef, a vegetarian dish, or a kid's meal—an elegant and personalized touch. They also included a table sign with a barcode, allowing guests to easily upload and share photos from the event with the couple.
Abbey & Josh's wedding wasn't just elegant—it was sweet in every sense of the word! In addition to the traditional wedding cake, they delighted their guests by bringing in an ice cream truck, adding a fun and unique twist to the dessert offerings. If that wasn’t enough to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth, they also had an abundance of candy and popcorn, giving guests a delicious treat to take home at the end of the night. These thoughtful details added an extra layer of joy and excitement to an already unforgettable celebration!
As the night went on, Abbey surprised everyone by changing into a second dress—a chic party look perfect for dancing the night away. The celebration ended on a high note with a sparkler departure, as the couple drove off in their getaway car, surrounded by the warm glow of their loved ones’ well-wishes. It was truly a wedding to remember, filled with timeless elegance and heartfelt moments.

A Journey of Love: Savannah & Zachary’s Travel-Inspired Vineyard Wedding
Savannah & Zachary were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, August 17th, 2024. The two of them have a love for wine and have quite the collection themselves so it meant a lot that they chose Keswick Vineyards as their wedding venue. I have so much to say about this wedding!
First, the location for their ceremony. We call the location they chose our “shade” location because it provides shade for all your guests. This was the 2nd wedding this weekend to choose this location and it hasn’t been just for the shade. I heard Savannah and Zachary’s wedding planner say that she thinks this is her new favorite ceremony location here. And just look at the photos. You can see why she said that. It really is hard to decide where to have your ceremony at Keswick Vineyards because there are so many choices!
I love how the “flower girls” became the “bubble girls” as they preceded Savannah down the aisle blowing bubbles into the air versus flower petals.
Savannah and Zachary are a couple that has traveled a lot, and they added that element into their wedding day by have their table numbers be locations they had traveled to versus a number. Love their cute, framed table assignment board.
When it came to the reception, this couple added a lot of rectangular tables to create a different look under our Aurora tent. They also had a pasta station for guests to personally pick what type of noodle and pasta topping they wanted as it was prepared right in front of them.
Topping off the evening, besides the dancing, was a cigar bar and liquor bar in the gazebo which is convenient located off to the side of the main tent. As you can see, it was a huge hit!
My favorite part of their wedding had to be the father/daughter dance. When Savannah was a little girl, she and her father went to an amusement park where her father recorded the song, “Butterfly Kisses”. This happens to be a song that my husband would play every morning to our baby girl, and we always envisioned playing it one day at her wedding and that is exactly what Savannah and her father did. What a touching moment to have that special dance with your father on your wedding day song by your father and recorded when you were a little girl. And just as the song says about giving her away, towards the end of the song her father had Zachary come to the dance floor as he handed his daughter over to him to finish the song. LOVE moments like this!
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team of vendors so special thank you to you all: Wedding Planner Sarah of Day by Fay, Catering by Harvest Moon, DJ Derek Tobler, Sami Saunders Phtography, Steelcut Flower Company, Officiant Kelsey Seitz, Hair by Flawless On Site, Makeup by Blush Tones, Transportation by Easy Riders, Classic Car by Albemarle Limousine and Rentals by Paisley & Jade.
Jaw Dropping Moment
After hosting over 650 weddings at Keswick Vineyards, it's rare to encounter something truly extraordinary. However, on Friday, August 16th, 2024, I was absolutely awe-struck!
On this remarkable day, Maddie and Michael exchanged vows, culminating a love story that began way back in 9th grade. With nearly all their guests traveling from afar, it was particularly special to see so many loved ones gather in one place.
But let's dive into the highlight that really caught my eye—their seating chart display! It's breathtaking how they coordinated the wallpaper used for this display with the inserts of the circular bar during cocktail hour. The elegant wooden framing and the meticulously spaced wax seals attaching each table's list were a sight to behold. Many of you might be wondering where they rented such a unique piece. Well, you'll be surprised to know that the bride and groom, with help from family members, crafted it themselves! This DIY masterpiece was possibly the most stunning table assignment display I've ever seen, whether rented or handmade. The board and bar's matching elements truly made a statement—a testament to the couple's attention to detail.
Moreover, Maddie and Michael introduced another novel idea to Keswick Vineyards—a custom touch on the matchboxes. They had a picture of 'Edgewood Estate' printed on one side and a monogram on the other, creating a charming keepsake for their guests.
From the eye-catching circular bar and its coordinating large table assignment board to the extensive selection of spirits, scrumptious cuisine, a photobooth, dance floor thrills, and an ice cream truck capping off the night, Maddie and Michael's wedding had all the elements to stand out memorably. Add to that the breathtaking backdrop of our venue's scenic vistas, and it’s clear this wedding was a cut above the rest.

Emily and Heyward's Classically Beautiful Wedding at Keswick Vineyards
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, Emily and Heyward tied the knot at the stunning Keswick Vineyards, with the historic 1911 Edgewood Estate serving as the perfect backdrop for their special day. Leading up to the wedding, Hurricane Debbie threatened to crash the party, but thanks to the couple's clever precaution of burying a bottle of bourbon, the storm steered clear, leaving them with a day of beautiful sunshine.
The wedding ceremony was a timeless affair, with Emily and Heyward opting for a black-and-white theme that complemented the classic architecture of the Edgewood Estate. The estate's white paint and black shutters perfectly matched the bride and groom's attire, creating an elegantly refined look. The bridesmaids added a pop of color with their pink dresses, each selecting a style that suited them best, adding a personalized touch to the bridal party.
As Emily gracefully walked down the aisle to the soothing melodies of the musicians, she was a vision of beauty, captivating everyone present. Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a delightful cocktail hour beneath a majestic oak tree, which provided much-needed shade. A large circular bar in the center became the focal point, offering a variety of refreshing beverages to the guests.
As attendees entered the tented reception area, they were greeted by gold bookshelves adorned with glasses of sparkling wine—a sophisticated and welcoming touch. Delighting their tastebuds were food stations with such delicious entrees of beef, shrimp & grits, just to name a couple. Emily and Heyward also designed custom t-shirts as unique keepsakes for their guests to remember the joyous occasion.
Emily and Heyward's wedding was a celebration of love, elegance, and personal touches, making it a day their friends and family will cherish forever.
