A Dream Wedding at Keswick Vineyards: Victoria and Christian's Celebration
On a hot and humid Saturday, June 29, 2024, Victoria and Christian celebrated their love at the picturesque Keswick Vineyards, one of Charlottesville's premier wedding venues. Despite the heat, the day was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
As guests arrived on the property, they were greeted with a bar, setting the tone for a festive and relaxed atmosphere. The ceremony took place with a breathtaking backdrop of the Southwest Mountains and the lush vineyard, creating a serene and romantic setting. A unique sculptor of baby's breath adorned their altar, adding a touch of elegance to the ceremony. To ensure guests' comfort, parasols were provided, offering shade from the summer sun.
The cocktail hour was a highlight, featuring a large circular bar as the focal point. Swagged bistro lights hung above, creating a warm and inviting ambiance under the shadow of a magnificent 300+ year old oak tree. This spot quickly became a favorite among guests, both during the day and into the night.
For the seating assignments, a stunning wooden wall display was crafted, adorned with bud vases filled with fresh florals. This creative touch added a personalized and stylish element to the decor. Instead of a traditional guest book, Victoria and Christian chose a unique and interactive option: a vintage phone for guests to call and leave heartfelt messages. This charming detail added a nostalgic and fun twist to the celebration.
To keep younger guests entertained, custom cornhole boards were set up, providing endless entertainment throughout the evening. The tent decor was kept simple yet sophisticated, with table numbers displayed on pieces of granite and bud vases as centerpieces.
As the evening progressed and the temperature remained high, a delightful treat awaited the guests—ice cream! This refreshing surprise was a perfect way to keep everyone cool and satisfied on the hot summer night.
Victoria and Christian's wedding at Keswick Vineyards was a perfect blend of elegance, fun, and thoughtful details. From the stunning ceremony backdrop to the interactive guest book and refreshing ice cream, every aspect of the day was designed to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for all who attended. Cheers to the happy couple and their beautiful beginning together!
Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot!
On Saturday, June 22, 2024, amidst a sweltering heat wave in Virginia, Lizzy and Robby tied the knot at the picturesque Keswick Vineyards. With temperatures soaring to a scorching 100 degrees, the couple ingeniously planned to keep their guests cool and comfortable, ensuring their big day was nothing short of perfect.
To combat the intense heat, Lizzy and Robby rented cutting-edge outdoor air conditioners from United Rentals. This innovative technology, which uses air flowing over ice or cold water to create cool air, was a game-changer. Strategically placed at each corner of the dance floor, these air conditioners kept the atmosphere refreshingly cool, allowing everyone to dance the night away without breaking a sweat. The only heat at this wedding was from the joyous energy on the dance floor!
In a delightful Southern tradition, the couple buried a bottle of bourbon to ward off rain, and once again, it worked like a charm. The skies remained clear, adding to the magic of the day.
Lizzy and Robby also introduced a unique twist to their guest sign-in book. Instead of a traditional book, they used a tablecloth runner, inviting guests to write their messages on it. This creative idea added a personal touch and a cherished keepsake for the newlyweds.
The wedding cake was another highlight, captivating everyone with its royal blue color and scalloped icing decorations. But it wasn’t just a visual treat; it was a delectable masterpiece. The chocolate cake, with peanut butter and chocolate mousse icing, tasted like a Reese’s candy bar – a heavenly delight that had everyone raving.
In a refreshing departure from the usual sparkler send-off, the couple opted for a streamer celebration. As the night drew to a close, guests gathered on the dance floor, encircling Lizzy and Robby, and launched streamers into the air. This created a spectacular photo opportunity and was a fantastic way to get everyone involved in the final celebration of the night.
The fashion at this wedding was simply impeccable. Lizzy’s choice of a wedding dress was stunning, showcasing her exquisite fashion sense. The dresses of the ladies attending were equally impressive, making this one of the best-dressed weddings at Keswick Vineyards. Not only was Mother Nature hot, but the guests were also sizzling with style.
Lizzy and Robby’s wedding at Keswick Vineyards was a perfect blend of love, creativity, and style. Despite the heat wave, the couple’s thoughtful planning ensured that their special day was comfortable, memorable, and filled with joy. It was a celebration of love that will be remembered for years to come.

Young Love
If I had my eyes closed for this wedding, I could have pictured my daughter’s future wedding. From their ceremony declaring not only their love for each other, but their love for Jesus to her dance with her father to the song “Butterfly Kisses”, the things in common between Charlotte Anne and my daughter were amazing to me. I found out later that she and my daughter both graduated this year from the same college, so I guess that explained a lot.
So, on Saturday, June 15th, Charlotte Anne married her long-time love since the age of 14, Sam, at Keswick Vineyards on a picture-perfect day! Just look how beautiful their ceremony was amongst the front vineyards. Framing the couple was this beautiful broken arch that was repurposed after the ceremony to decorate the entrance to their reception tent. One of the first thing that these two did once officially married was to take communion together. Again, their faith was definitely something everyone could feel and witness this entire day.
Immediately after the ceremony a champagne tower was waiting for the couple and their wedding party to toast their marriage. And look at this platter of delicious appetizers for them all to enjoy. It is always a nice thing to do right after the ceremony for the couple and wedding party to take about 5-10 minutes to have a quick drink and some food to have that special moment alone.
The décor of the reception tent was just spectacular with greenery attached just to the middle section of swagged bistro lights under the tent. This really made the dance floor more of a focus point throughout the evening. I also noticed that they did something a little different for their florals on the head table. Usually, you see a long floral arrangement with candles throughout it. But for Charlotte Ann and Sam’s head table, they had all the florals along the middle section of the head table and then candles only on each side separating the two.
Always be sure to set aside some time to escape for sunset photos. The lighting is always so special for that. Just take a look at how happy these two are!
Charlotte Ann and Sam had a live painter. I can’t express how amazing these painters are and what a lifelong keepsake to forever look at in your home and I highly recommend one if it is within your budget. Just look at how this painting started to how it was looking at the end of the night. The painting will now go home with the painter for all those delicate details to be added but you could already see what an amazing piece of personalized art this will be. LOVE IT!!!!
Again, I just loved so many things from this wedding and I really can see rubber stamping it to be used again for one of my daughters. Time will tell☺

They Understood the Assignment
When Kerri and Glenn toured Keswick Vineyards and I found out that Glenn was in the navy, I told him that if they got married here, he had to wear his uniform and they had to re-enact the last scene from the movie, “An Officer and a Gentleman”. That has always been one of my favorite movies. So, when they arrived for their rehearsal, Glenn was wearing his uniform and remembered our deal. So, they quickly posed for me that scene when Richard Gere comes into the factory to carry Debra Winger off in his arms to live happily ever after. I think that was the sweetest thing for Glenn to be wearing his uniform at the rehearsal knowing he wasn’t going to wear it on their wedding day, but a promise is a promise☺ What do you think??? Pretty cute, huh?
So, on Friday, June 14th, Kerri and Glenn were married at Keswick Vineyards and had their dream wedding surrounded by family and friends. Let’s start with the ceremony. They chose to be married in front of Edgewood Estate right in front of the fountain, which they chose to adorn with florals. Between the florals in the fountain and the blooming lavender and day lilies surrounding the fountain, simply breath taking!
When couples choose this location, our bride is secretly taken through the vineyard to make a surprise entrance from the back versus entering from the front of the estate. Just look how beautiful this ceremony is in this location! Right after the ceremony we had our golf cart ready to swoop this newly couple away for some private time before returning for some photos with family members.
Their seating chart and circular bar at cocktail hour framed with swagged bistro lights had everyone in aww. Just look at the beautiful table assignment wall! Right next to it was a couch and table for people to sit at and take a polaroid photo at.
And let’s talk food. DELICIOUS!!!! So many amazing appetizers that looked as pretty as they tasted. And dinner was a plated surf and turf dinner. And then, to top that off was these delicious cupcakes that had flavored icing like lemon, orange and strawberry. All those flavors reminded me of the fruits they had incorporated into their centerpieces. Always a nice touch!
Kerri and Glenn, thank you again for trusting Keswick Vineyards to host your dream wedding at. I know what a wonderful time you and your guests had. May the two of you enjoy a lifetime of adventure and happiness!
